Abyss took on Lance Hoyt. Lance was able to get the upper hand to being with, until Abyss managed to attack him outside the ring.

Back in the ring, Abyss got a near fall after a chokeslam. Abyss would get the win following a Black Hole Slam.

After the match, Abyss went for the thumbtacks, but Sabu appeared – with his arm wrapped in barbed wire, which made Abyss leave the ring and walk away – looking scared.
